Get started with Web Insights

Set up Web Insights so your reports show ICP fit, goal conversions and ad spend next to your traffic.

Written by Ruthie Keith

Before you start

  • Leadfeeder Tracking Script: installed on your website. If you already use Web Visitors, you have it, so there's nothing new to install. To install the tracking script, follow these instructions.

  • Plan: the Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads reports, Ask a question and AI insights need Discover or above.

Open Web Insights

  1. In the left menu, click Web Insights.

  2. Pick a report from the menu on the left. Ask a question is at the bottom of the menu.

Set up what the reports need

You can use Web Insights without an ICP, goals or ad accounts. Reports that need them show a prompt to set them up.

Set up

What it unlocks

Where to set it up

ICP

ICP ratio (est.), ICP companies and the ICP Analysis reports

Settings > Account > ICP segments. See How to create an ICP segment.

Goals

Goal conversions and conversion rates. Add the website actions that matter to you, like demo requests, sign-ups or trials.

Settings > Account > Goals. See The Goals Feature in Web Visitors.

Google Ads or LinkedIn Ads

The Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads reports, with spend, clicks, CTR and cost per identified company. Available on Discover and above.

Important: If you already have the LinkedIn integration connected, sync it to start sending LinkedIn Ads data to Web Insights. The LinkedIn Ads report shows data from the day you sync onward.

Pick a date range

  1. Open any report.

  2. Choose a date range at the top of the report. On Discover and above, you can pick from the last 30 days up to the last 24 months, or year to date. On Lite, you can see the last 3 months.

Note: Pipeline and revenue reporting isn't part of Web Insights yet. See Does Web Insights include attribution? (link to article)

What's next

Nice, you're all set up. Next, read Understanding your Web Insights reports (link to article). On Discover or above, you can also try Ask a question and AI insights.
