Understanding your Web Insights reports

Each Web Insights report answers a different question about your traffic and the companies behind it.

Settings that work in every report

  • Date range: pick it at the top of the report. On Discover and above, choose from the last 30 days up to the last 24 months, or year to date. On Lite, you can see the last 3 months.

  • All traffic vs Identified traffic: All traffic counts every visit, including visits we couldn't match to a company. Identified traffic counts visits from companies we identified, and adds company metrics like ICP companies and Intent Score. ICP ratio (est.) is available in both views.

  • Filters: click Show filters to narrow a report, for example by channel, campaign, landing page, industry or company location.

  • Change vs previous period: each metric card compares the selected period with the period of the same length before it.

  • Metric definitions: hover over a metric name to see what it means. Web Insights metric definitions has the full list.

Overview

How much of my traffic comes from the companies I want to reach? The Overview shows your identified companies, ICP companies and ICP ratio. It also shows how ICP traffic changes over time by segment, and your top campaigns and channels.

Traffic sources

  • Which traffic sources bring visitors to my site?

  • Which channels bring ICP companies?

  • Which channels lead to goal conversions?

  • Is AI search, like ChatGPT or Gemini, sending me traffic?

Traffic sources groups your traffic by source / medium. To dig in, see Find your best-fit traffic channels with Web Insights.

Campaigns

Which campaigns bring ICP companies? UTM campaigns shows every campaign whose links have a utm_campaign tag, including tagged Google Ads campaigns.

The Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads reports show what you spent, how many clicks you got and what each identified company cost. These two reports are available on Discover and above.

Note: Google Ads campaigns show up in UTM campaigns only if their links have a utm_campaign tag. On Lite, this is the only place you’ll see them, and without spend or clicks.

ICP Analysis

How much of my identified traffic matches each of my ICP segments? Under ICP Analysis, you'll also find:

  • Companies by Industry: Which industries visit my site most?

  • Companies by Size: Are my visitors small businesses or large enterprises?

  • Companies by Geography: Which countries do my visitors come from?

These reports need at least one ICP segment. Set one up in Settings > Account > ICP segments. See How to create an ICP segment.

Pages

  • Which pages attract ICP companies?

  • Which pages do companies read when they're close to buying?

  • Which landing pages have the shortest time on page?

To dig in, see Improve your website content with Web Insights.

Note: Web Insights reports companies as totals. It doesn't show individual company names. To see which companies visited, use Web Visitors.

Ask a question
