Check your tracking script status in Leadfeeder, then use your browser's developer tools to confirm the script is on your site and firing.
Before you start: You need the tracking script installed on your website and the Google Chrome browser.
Check the status in Leadfeeder
Visit a few pages on your website to send some data.
After 5 to 10 minutes, click the Settings gear icon at the bottom left and go to Company > Website Tracker > Tracker status. Once the script is set up, the status shows Installed and Receiving data, with events listed.
If you don't see Receiving data or any new companies, check that the script is on your site using the steps below.
Check the tracking script is on your site and firing
In Chrome, right-click anywhere on your page except an image and select Inspect.
Open the Network tab, type "lf" in the search box and refresh the page.
If the script is on the site and firing, it appears in the list, like this:
If the list looks like this, the script isn't firing:
Check the page source
If the script doesn't show up in the Network tab, look for it in your page source.
Right-click anywhere on your page except an image and select View page source.
Search the page for "lft". If the script is there, your browser highlights it.
If nothing is highlighted, the script isn't in your source code. Ask your team to check that it was added to your live site.
If the script is in your source code but not in the Network tab, ask your team to check that it sits just before the closing </head> tag and that no internal tool blocks it.
Still not seeing data after an hour?
If the script is on your site and firing, give it an hour to start reporting. If you still don't see Receiving data after that, or companies aren't appearing, check these:
Check your traffic rules. Leadfeeder sets your hostname rules by default, but you may need to change them. New rules take up to an hour to apply.
Check that the script on your site matches the one in your settings exactly, with no extra characters or typos. If in doubt, copy and paste it again.
Check that the script ID on your site matches the script ID in your settings.
Check that you saved and published the changes in your website editor, and clear your website's cache if needed.
Check that your content security policy isn't blocking the tracking script.
