Copy the Leadfeeder tracking script from your settings and paste it into your website. The tracking script powers both Web Visitors and Web Insights, so you only need to install it once. How you add it depends on how your website is built.
Before you start: You need access to your website's code, your tag manager, or your website builder's settings.
How to install the tracking script
Copy the tracking script. If you've just signed up, copy the script from the Install the Leadfeeder script page using Copy Code. Otherwise, click the Settings gear icon at the bottom left, then go to Company > Website Tracker > Tracker script and click Copy script.
Paste the tracking script into your website. Choose the method under Installation methods below that matches how your site is built.
Check your hostname rules. Click the Settings gear icon, go to Account > Traffic Filtering, and make sure the rules match every domain you want to track. Leadfeeder sets these rules from the details you gave at signup.
Wait for data. New companies appear in Web Visitors within an hour of your first visits. Until then, the tracking script shows as Not installed and Not receiving data. If you don't see Receiving data after an hour, contact our support team.
On the free Lite plan, the status updates the next day.
You can use the same tracking script on every website under the same company in your Leadfeeder account. To track several websites, see Manage your company setup.
