How Are Credits Spent?

Learn how each of the functions within the Leadfeeder platform use credits.

Throughout the Leadfeeder platform and within the individual apps, certain actions trigger change of the credit balance. We have detailed how credits are spent below.

We estimate the amount of credits needed per company, together with our clients. The factors that influence this are the leadflow that a company would like to generate throughout a year or month, or the number of companies visiting the client’s website identified during a trial. If you need more credits to reveal contact details and move the data from the Leadfeeder platform to other systems, you can upgrade with an additional credits package.

A few facts about the credits you should know as a rule of thumb:

  • Credits are account wide and shared by all users

  • Seats are unlimited on every plan

  • Credits renew according to your billing cadence

View Your Credit Total

You can find the amount of credits spent and currently available to you either by clicking the user icon at the top right of the screen, as illustrated below or in the top right corner depending on your subscription. The credit total is refreshed according to the terms of your contract.

Credit Transaction Log

The credit transactions log lets you understand how credits have been spent or refunded across your account.

If you have Billing Company Access Rights you can view your credit transaction log by navigating to Settings > Account > Billing - Credit Transactions

  • A transaction may include one or multiple credits, e.g. an export of 100 companies from Target will consume 100 credits and show up as one transaction

  • You can filter by time and sort by date, user, and number of credits

  • The list also include refunds. A refund means we've added credits back to your credit balance

In Leadfeeder, a record means either a company or a contact. Credits control access to company and contact data across the platform.

When you spend a credit on a record, you unlock 12 months of access to that specific company or contact. During those 12 months, everyone in your account can reuse that record freely without any further credits being charged. This 12-month access applies to a single record and is completely separate from your Leadfeeder contract or billing.

How 12-month access starts

Access to a record begins in any of these ways:

  1. A company visits your website and is identified in Web Visitors

  2. A company record is exported or enriched

  3. A contact record is exported or enriched

What happens during the 12 months?

Once a record is unlocked, all users in your account can reuse that same company or contact for 12 months without spending another credit. The record can be viewed, exported, synced, or enriched again during this period at no additional credit cost, where applicable.

What happens after 12 months?

When the 12 months expire, your access to that record ends. If you use the same record again in a way that requires fresh enriched data, a new credit may be charged and a new 12-month access period begins.

📌 Note: The find more contact details function does not create a record.

What Consumes Credits

Credits are spent when you take an action that enriches or activates company or contact data. Unlike before, different actions now cost different amounts:

Action

Credit cost

Email-only contact enrichment

0.2 credits

Email + phone contact enrichment (via third-party / waterfall)

1 credit

Export or sync a record to your CRM

1 credit

What actions are available and credit cost depends on your subscription. Ask our support team or your CSM if you have questions, we are happy to help!

Workflows themselves don't cost credits to build or activate, but any credit-consuming action inside a workflow (enrichment, export, CRM push) still spends credits when it runs.

What Doesn't Consume Credits

  • Identifying a company visiting your website via Web Visitors, this is included in your plan's company limit, not charged in credits

  • Logging in, viewing dashboards, or browsing the platform

  • Adding or managing users (seats are unlimited on every plan)

Monthly vs Annual Plans

  • Annual Plan: If you're on an annual plan you will receive access to your entire credit quota on day one.

  • Monthly Plan: credits are delivered month by month, in line with your plan's monthly allowance. Unused monthly credits don't roll over to the next month.

Extra Credits

Need more credits without changing your plan? You can purchase Extra credits at any time, this can be useful for seasonal campaigns, testing a new go-to-market motion, or a proof-of-concept for a new team.

Important Notes

  • For bulk actions, the platform shows how many credits will be used before you proceed.

  • Enrichment and export/sync are billed as separate actions, enriching a contact does not automatically unlock a free export of that same record.

  • Records used before the new pricing rollout followed the previous credit rules; talk to your CSM or our support team if you have questions about a specific historical transaction or package.
