File Tracking
Leadfeeder users with can Company Access Rights to 'Manage Company' can adjust which file types get tracked by default and add custom ones in Advanced Tracking Settings.
STEP 1: Navigate to your Settings from the bottom-left navigation.
STEP 2: Click the Company tab and then Website Tracker. Select Advanced tracking.
STEP 3: Select the file extensions you want to track in your advanced Web Visitors Tracker settings.
Please note: Please always check that the file for download has one of the extensions selected in the Leadfeeder settings. Also, if you have downloadable files on a different hostname than the rest of your website, you need to add both into the Hostname Rules in Leadfeeder settings.
STEP 5: Add the domain of the file as a hostname in your Leadfeeder account settings.
STEP 6: If you start to track, for example, PDF files, create a custom feed with a "Page URL includes PDF" filter and see which companies have downloaded the file.
Please note: The URL of the file should end with the file type.
Video Views Tracking
You can not only track website visitors with Leadfeeder, but you can also track YouTube and Vimeo video plays - this is a game changer when tracking visitors throughout the funnel. You need to own the Manage Company within your user account to enable video views tracking. If you alread do, then go to the Advanced tracker settings and turn on "Video tracking".
Once "Video tracking" is enabled and someone plays a Youtube or Vimeo video on your site, you can trace that in the visit details of the lead, similar to the below screenshot:
When creating a custom feed, you can use video plays also as a filter. The filters are named as "Video play" and "Video title".
