Integrate Gong with Leadfeeder

Integration with Gong enables you to seamlessly uncover valuable insights about the customers and prospects that have interacted with your website.

The Leadfeeder-Gong integration works with the Web Visitors by Leadfeeder product, to automatically push certain events that happened on your website on the previous day directly into Gong. We take absolutely no data from Gong - this is your proprietary information.

Events currently pushed to Gong:

✅ Page visits and visit duration (each page visited appears as a separate event in Gong)

✅ File downloads - gain a deeper analysis of your visitors interests

✅ Video views - understand what appeals to your visitors

✅ Form fills - capture engagement (you must have form tracking enabled)

In order for these events to appear in Gong the day after they occur, you need to have your CRM integrated with Gong. Whenever Gong finds a match with a connected CRM instance on their end, the Web Visitors events will be shown in Gong.

Prerequisites for Leadfeeder-Gong Integration

  1. You must have a paid Leadfeeder subscription that includes access to Web Visitors

  2. The Web Visitors tracking script must be installed and active on the website you wish to identify companies visiting.

  3. You must have a paid Gong subscription with admin privileges .

  4. You must have CRM integration enabled through Gong.

How Integration with Gong Works

Company A have all their prerequisites in place. Leadfeeder visits the website of Company A at 10am and 3pm on a Tuesday. During the first session the user visits 3 pages, during the second session the user visits 2 pages. All 5 visits (3 in the morning + 2 in the afternoon) are sent to Gong as separate records the following day: Wednesday.

For these visits to be recorded in Gong, Gong's CRM integration must be able to identify a match. Company A has an Account for Leadfeeder in their CRM - the match is made and so these visits are pushed into Gong and attached to this company record.

How Do I Integrate Gong with Leadfeeder?

STEP 1: Log in to Leadfeeder. If you don't have a Leadfeeder account, sign up here.

STEP 2: Navigate to your Account settings by clicking on the gear ⚙️ icon at the top right of the app.

STEP 3: Select Overview under the Integrations heading. You will see all the integrations available to you, as well as any already connected. Click Gong (under the Collaboration sub-heading) to start the integration process.

STEP 4: You will be taken to our integrations page. Read the information and click Connect.

Please note: You must be able to authorize Leadfeeder to access your Gong account to proceed.

STEP 5: In the next step you are asked to Allow Leadfeeder permission to create new digital interactions within Gong.

Once you've approved this the integration initiation will start loading.

STEP 6: Congratulations! You've successfully integrated Gong with Leadfeeder. Once you're connected you will see the following screen.

Your integrations Overview page will also show Gong as 'Connected'.

Please note: Gong and Web Visitors sync once per day.

Where in Gong Can I See My Leadfeeder Data?

In Gong, you can view head to the 'Engage' section, and view your 'Recent Engagement'. Within this pop out you will see a list of all the recent Leadfeeder events that have been pushed into Gong.

You will be able to expand each visit to see the name of the page visited, the duration and how many days ago it took place. If the event is a form fill, download or video view you won't see any 'duration'.

Clicking View in Leadfeeder will take you through to that identified company within Web Visitors, filtered by the specific date that the visit occurred.

If we have the name or email address of the user (either from a Form Fill or if they came to your website via an email marketing campaign) this will be forwarded to Gong too. If not, the user will be shown generically as 'Someone at Leadfeeder', for example.

You can also access the Leadfeeder activity in Gong by navigating to Accounts, searching for a specific company, or selecting one, and clicking the Activity tab. If you have a lot of activity this may take a while to load.

How Do I Remove My Gong Integration from Leadfeeder?

STEP 1: If you wish to remove Gong from your Leadfeeder integrations, navigate to your Account settings > Integrations (Overview) > Gong and choose Remove.

STEP 2: On the next page, please read the important information and if you wish to proceed, click Confirm removal.
