More and more companies use LinkedIn to advertise their products and services. They can track the success of their LinkedIn Ads on LinkedIn or Google Analytics, but they might not have a way to know which exact companies landed on their website after they clicked the LinkedIn Ad "learn more" button.

If you are one of those companies, you might want to know that the Leadfeeder Tracker can track visits from LinkedIn Ads and show you those visitors in our Leadfeeder App. In order to do so, you need to set up the URL of the LinkedIn ad to include UTMs.

What are UTMs you ask?

UTMs are five parameters that will describe what is the ad about. The UTMs become part of the URL. They include the name of the campaign, source, medium, term (keyword), and content.

In order for Leadfeeder to be able to track your LinkedIn Ads, please make sure that each Ad has UTMs in its URL.

As a minimum we recommend using:

"utm_source=linkedin" and "utm_medium=paid" or "utm_medium=cpc"

It's also helpful to include "utm_campaign" to describe what your campaign is about.

You can use the Google URL builder to create your LinkedIn ad URL with UTMs as described here.
