If you have either a Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, or Dynamics integration, it is possible to customize what information is sent from Dealfront to the CRM when creating various entities.

The entities that can be customized differ depending on which CRM you are using.

Accounts/Organisations/Companies (the exact terminology depends on the CRM) are always connected, all the other ones can be switched on or off.

Please note: You can't use the customization to send visits to your CRM, or add information to already created entities in the CRM!

Follow the step by step guide below to select the information being sent from Dealfront to your CRM.

STEP 1: Navigate to your Account settings by clicking on the gear ⚙️ icon at the top right of the app.

STEP 2: Select your connected CRM under the Integrations heading. We're using HubSpot for this example.

STEP 3: In your integration settings, under the Customization tab you will see the Sync settings section:

When one of the sections is expanded, you will see a table similar to this:

By default, the table is populated with the standard fields we send to entities of that type (for some entities, it is empty by default).

You can also add custom fields for entities by selecting a Dealfront field and Destination field at the bottom of the table, and clicking the Add button.

If you have a validation in your CRM that requires a field to have a value (and in case Dealfront doesn’t have the data for a particular field), you can edit the field and set a default value:

It’s also possible to send a hard-coded value to a certain CRM field. In this case, you can create a new field, type a custom value, and press enter. After that, select a destination field as usual, and click Add to create the field mapping.

Each Dealfront field should have a destination field selected. The list of destination fields includes both standard and custom CRM fields for that entity type, and is synced daily. If the field was added recently and the field isn’t listed, you can manually trigger a sync from your CRM integration settings in Dealfront.

If you wish to stop sending a certain field to your CRM, you can either click Delete on that row, or click the toggle on the left side of the row to disable that field:

Please remember that you can only send data to certain types of CRM destination fields.

Types allowed for Zoho:

  • text

  • email

  • phone

  • website

  • picklist

  • integer

  • textarea

  • currency

Types allowed for Hubspot:

  • string

  • number

Types allowed for Pipedrive:

  • varchar

  • text

  • int

  • double

  • monetary

*int(eger) is a number without a fractional component
*double/float is a number that can have a fractional component (edited)

Please note: You can only use this customization information when sending newly created entities from Dealfront to your CRM. It will not delete and/or update information about entities which have already been created in your CRM and it will not fill in information retroactively.
