Prospector is a powerful discovery platform which offers an easy way to find the right contact details for an individual at a company. We have integrated Prospector into WebVisitors, where you can reveal, for example, a contact's work email address and/or direct phone number, by using credits. The contact's name and associated LinkedIn profile are both still visible without requiring credits.

Prospector is also a standalone tool with comprehensive search and filter functions. These can be used to find companies and contacts that fit your ideal customer profile, using company names, industry, size or other firmographic data.

Every Premium WebVisitors subscription now comes with 50 credits per month. This total refreshes each month, so if credits aren’t used within a particular month they can’t be rolled over. You have the option to purchase more if required.

Leadfeeder gives you contacts for the companies that visit your site, including their email address. It should be as easy as clicking the mail icon to send that first email!


If you are having trouble such as the link not working, or opening from an email you don't use it may be because of your 'email defaults'.

The quickest way around this without changing any settings is to copy the email address then paste it into the email client of your choice. Right click on the email icon and choose 'copy email address' to copy.

However, if you would like to be able to use the quick 'mailto' links you can try the following.

For Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to "Settings."

  2. Click "Content settings" under "Privacy and security."

  3. Select "Handlers" and switch on the Ask protocol.

  4. Open Gmail in Chrome and click the Protocol Handler icon.

  5. Allow Gmail to open all email links.

On a Mac:

  1. Open Mail.

  2. Choose Preferences from the Mail menu, then click General. Or, if you're prompted to set up an email account, add your account, then choose Preferences from the Mail menu.*

  3. Choose your email app from the ”Default email reader” pop-up menu.

For Windows 10:

  1. Go to the Windows taskbar and select "Start".

  2. Select "Settings" (the gear icon).

  3. In the Windows Settings dialog box, go to the Find a setting text box and enter "Default".

  4. Select "Default" app settings.

  5. Select "Mail" to display a list of email apps that are installed on your computer.

  6. Choose a different email app from the list or select Look for an app in the Store to install a different email app.

  7. Close the Settings dialog box.
