How to send Leadfeeder identified companies to Dynamics as Accounts or Leads.

Once you've successfully integrated Dynamics 365 with Dealfront there are a few different things you can do:

  • connect Leadfeeder leads to Dynamics leads or accounts

  • create new tasks & opportunities

  • see what CRM records exist for your website leads

You can do these either manually or using automation. We've set out the steps for sending identified companies from Dealfront to Dynamics using either method below.

While the company rebrand is underway you may see the names 'Dealfront' and 'Leadfeeder' used interchangeably within screenshots - we are in the process of updating our integrations, please bear with us.

Please note: Currently Dealfront only integrates with the Online version of Dynamics. We do not integrate with the On-Premise version.

Send Identified Companies to Dynamics Manually

STEP 1: You can send a company you're interested to Dynamics by clicking on either Account or Lead.

Please note: We'll connect the obvious ones for you, so you don’t need to connect every company manually. Once you've integrated Dynamics, you will start seeing “Dynamics 365” badges next to each identified company we think could be a possible match with a company in your Dynamics CRM.

STEP 2: After connecting a company with Dynamics, visits will appear at the Dynamics end like in the screenshot below.

STEP 3: By clicking the arrow in the top navigation bar and choosing Page Views more details will open up.

STEP 4: When the Leadfeeder identified company is connected to a Dynamics account or lead, you’ll be able to see any tasks and opportunities you’ve scheduled for them directly in your Leadfeeder interface.

Send Identified Companies to Dynamics with Automation

Instead of sending identified companies to Microsoft Dynamics 365 manually, you can create a custom feed and set up automation to send matching companies to your CRM automatically.

This action relates to three Dynamics 365 records: account, opportunity and a task both in an account and lead level.

Get started by creating or editing a custom feed and selecting the Automation tab. Choose your Action to be Send to Dynamics 365 and click Configure.

Then select whether Dealfront should send leads to Dynamics 365 as accounts or leads.

You can use variables [company_name] (name of the Leadfeeder company) and [account_name] (name of the Leadfeeder company) when sending identified companies to your Dynamics 365 with automation.

Accounts

In the first stage, define if you want the automation to create a new account for the given Leadfeeder identified company that matches to your custom feed criteria.

If unselected, the automation will only take into account the identified companies already connected to an account within your CRM when creating a new opportunity or a task.

Opportunity

At the next stage, decide if you want to create a new opportunity for the account that Leadfeeder identified company is connected to (or just newly created, if you chose to have the toggle on in the previous step).

If unselected, we will take only existing opportunities into account when creating the task.

Task

In the final stage, choose whether you want to create a task. Please note that your choices in this section are dependent upon your choices in the prior sections. Your results here are dependent on whether you selected to create a new account and opportunity, or you chose only to take into account existing accounts and opportunities.

In the example below, the user didn't choose to create a new account but wanted the automation to create a new opportunity.

Please note: The automation will only process every lead once, please consider this when setting up automation for tasks.

After you have set up your preferred rules, click Apply, then Add automation and finally Save the custom feed.

Send Identified Companies to Dynamics 365 as Leads

Lead

In the first stage, define if you want the automation to create a new lead for the given Leadfeeder identified company that matches to your custom feed criteria.

If unselected, the automation will only take into account the identified companies already connected to a lead within your CRM when creating a task.

Task

In the second stage, decide if you want to create a new task for the lead that Leadfeeder identified company is connected to (or just newly created, if you chose to have the toggle on in the previous step).

Please note: The automation will only process every company once, please consider this when setting up automation for tasks.

After you have set up your preferred rules, click Apply, then Add automation and finally Save the custom feed.

This automation will now send matching identified companies from your custom feed to your CRM automatically.

Please note: When using automation to create opportunities, accounts or leads each Leadfeeder company identified in the custom feed will prompt the chosen automation. This means that if one company is shown in Leadfeeder several times due to multiple locations ,the automation will create these as unique opportunities, accounts, or leads. Different locations are seen as unique companies by Dealfront, but may appear as duplicates in your CRM.

Duplicates may also be created in the case of having automations set in feeds where a single lead may meet the criteria for several feeds. For example, if a custom feed looks for companies in the US and a separate custom feed looks for companies in the print industry, a company that visits and is in the US and the print industry may appear in BOTH custom feeds. If automations are set up for BOTH of those feeds a duplicate may be created in your CRM.
