What Information Gets Sent to Salesforce If I Integrate It?

This article will tell you what Leadfeeder is able to send to Salesforce and what is matched (synced) between the two.

When you integrate Salesforce with Leadfeeder you have a number of different options regarding default fields and customizations for your Salesforce instance. Detailed instructions on how to set up your integration are available in these articles:

The lists below give the data points that you have available for these customizations and syncs, but make sure to go through our other Salesforce resources to get a full view of this powerful integration!

Please remember that you can send Web Visitors identified companies to your Salesforce synced entities without needing to create new entities in Salesforce. Just switch on "Send visits to Salesforce for automatically connected companies" in your Leadfeeder settings.

To find this, navigate your User Settings > Account > Salesforce.

You will see the note as in the screenshot below about previously connected companies - choose which option suits you best.

Please note: If you have some data points already in Salesforce, Leadfeeder won't override those fields with its own data except when it comes to the fields Web Visitors Link and Latest Website Visit. Leadfeeder syncs data from your Salesforce CRM once a day.

We can send the following elements to Salesforce:

  • Latest Web Visitors visit

  • View in Web Visitors link

  • Link to Web Visitors

  • Organization Name

  • Customization available in the main integration settings:

    • Send visits (including page-views) for Manually Connected companies

    • Send visits (including page-views) for Automatically Connected companies

    • Send lead Comments

    • Default Task Status

    • Default Task Priority

    • Default Opportunity Pipeline/Stage

    • Default Opportunity Name

    • Default Lead First Name

    • Default Lead Last Name

  • Fields that are available to be set when creating a Leadfeeder company as a Salesforce account:

    • Industry

    • Number of employees

    • Website

    • Company description

  • Fields that are available to be set when creating a Leadfeeder company as a Salesforce lead:

    • Country

    • City

    • Region

    • Email

    • Title

    • Industry

    • Number of Employees

Please note: Website URL, number of employees, industry, account source, and description of the company will not always be sent, you may see it for companies where the information was available in the past from LinkedIn, however, it is not available for all companies.

Syncable entities

These are the records that are allowed to be synced between Salesforce and Leadfeeder. Tasks are dependent on leads and opportunities.

Automate company matching with CRM

Company creation in Salesforce can be automated by using feed automation. A number of configuration options are available to adapt them based on your business requirements.

Manual connections

When connecting a company manually to send to Salesforce you have the ability to configure them. The fields below are the options available to send to Salesforce.

  • Connect as an Account

    • Connect to an existing account

      • Company Name

    • Create a New account

      • Owner

      • Name

  • Connect as a Lead

    • Connect to an existing Lead

    • Company or Person Name

    • Create a New Lead

      • Owner

      • Organization

      • Contact details

        • Lead Contact Name

        • Lead Contact Title

        • Lead Contact Email

  • New visits are sent (including pageviews) automatically

  • Send existing visits (including pageviews)

  • Send existing Web Visitors company comments as a note to Salesforce

Please note: If a Web Visitors company is connected with as an Account as well as a Lead, we will only update the visits to the Salesforce Account.

Once companies are connected you have the ability to create and send:

  • Tasks

    • Owner

    • Status

    • Priority

    • Due date

  • Opportunities

    • Owner

    • Status

    • Closing Date
